FINALISTS

Team Coloaf

Say goodbye to the days of scrambling to copy and paste course codes into WebReg and say hello to schedule visualization and generation. Coloaf’s redesigned WebReg integrates tools commonly used by UCI students to plan classes, such as schedule visualization, course reviews, and a map of the campus, along with a system to automatically enroll students in classes when their enrollment window opens. More importantly, we leverage information from students’ DegreeWorks to generate a personalized class schedule that considers what classes they need, checks prerequisites, prioritizes courses offered only in certain quarters, and recommends GE classes through our optimize mode. This will be a game changer for students who aren’t sure of what classes to take, looking for a way to quickly create a class schedule, or simply want something to work off of in creating their own class schedule.

Team Professor HP Lee Fan Club

We designed our version of WebReg to include course searching capabilities, a calendar, and a sample plan of study. If you’re stuck on which classes to choose, ZotPick can help by generating a random class for you. You also have the ability to save courses before your enrollment date to make enrollment day less stressful. The WebReg experience extends beyond the website: our design will include email notifications for enrollment updates.

Team Unemployed Devs

Welcome to our newly designed WebReg. Imagine a world where you don’t have to plan your courses. That is now a reality with our Suggested Classes feature. Showcasing full integration with Schedule of Classes, just simply make a search, add your classes to the Bagᵀ^, and then hit Enroll and you’re done! Simple, easy and ALL ON ONE PAGE.

A streamlined enrollment process, with information at a glance; and planning at the click of your mouse, or the tap of your finger. Ready to be saved under your UCI account, ready for you now.

Team Zotty Hotties

We designed webreg so that all of the features of the existing webreg could be viewed and accessed on one page in addition to our added ones. Schedule of Classes was imbedded into our site, making it easy for students to browse classes, while adding and dropping them. We also implemented a calendar and map, where students could view their study list in a different format. These features are aimed to destress the course registration process and allow students to make more informed decisions about their course load.

About the Event

The UCI University Registrar has hired a consulting company to help them update WebReg’s interface. The ANTrepreneur Center is partnering with the Registrar to help them with customer discovery so that current UCI students can offer high-value feedback on the current website and course registration process. Through our WebReg Hackathon, the University Registrar will be able to gather ideas from students for their new interface.
