Supporting College Entrepreneurs at UCI
At the UCI ANTrepreneur Center, Ryan focuses on helping college students transform ideas into actionable businesses. Through initiatives like the AI Innovation Challenge, the $ide Hustle Challenge, and the collaboration with Y Combinator to develop a startup course, Ryan continues to connect students to essential resources, mentorship, and funding opportunities.
The ANTrepreneur Center offers one-on-one consulting, free legal help, and access to state-of-the-art tools such as 3D printers, software certifications, and other cutting-edge resources.
Ryan also launched the Self-Starter Micro-Internship Program at the ANTrepreneur Center, providing students with opportunities to gain real-world experience while earning money. The program now boasts over 3,000 students on the platform, with more than 100 students completing paid micro-internships, totaling over $80,000 in earnings. These short-term, project-based opportunities not only help students develop essential skills but also connect them with industry professionals, bridging the gap between education and career readiness. This initiative reflects Ryan’s commitment to empowering students with practical experience to complement their academic learning.
Under Ryan’s leadership, students have gained the skills and confidence to pitch to investors and launch successful startups and side hustles.
