The biggest thing I have noticed is that all of our ANTrepreneurs are so ambitious. Students come in with jam-packed school schedules, extracurriculars, side hustles, startups, you name it.
When I was a college student, I thought I had a lot on my plate. But I really admire the tenacity and ambition of this new generation of scholars. However, I also worry about how some students dismiss or are unaware of the importance of taking time for themselves.
As a student or an entrepreneur, it’s easy to get caught up in the hustle culture and believe that “grinding 24/7” is the key to success. I know it’s hard to believe prioritizing yourself is absolutely crucial for success, so don’t take my word for it. Take it from the amazing individuals listed below. This article is meant to inspire and raise awareness about the importance of you. 🙂
“The ability to be in the present moment is a major component of mental wellness.” -Abraham Maslow
Abraham Maslow was one of the most influential psychologists of the twentieth century. He emphasized the importance of personal growth and self-actualization.
“Take care of your body. It’s the only place you have to live.” -Jim Rohn
Jim Rohn was an American businessman, a self-made millionaire before he turned 31, an author and a motivational speaker.
“The real secret is that the most successful people have awareness of what their body needs and sleep whenever necessary.” -Eric Schmidt
Eric Schmidt is an accomplished technologist, entrepreneur, and philanthropist worth 16 Billion. He is most known for being CEO and Chairman of Google
“That was the beginning of my realizing that millions of us are living under the collective delusion that we need to burn out in order to succeed,” -Arianna Huffington
Arianna Huffington is the founder of The Huffington Post and founder and CEO of the health and wellness startup Thrive Global. After collapsing from exhaustion and breaking her cheekbone 10 years ago, Huffington realized that she needed to make some changes in her life.
In conclusion, taking time for yourself is essential to success. As a busy entrepreneur and student, it’s easy to get caught up in the idea that you need to work 24/7 to achieve your goals. However, prioritizing self-care is just as important as working hard.
Remember, your research, grades, and business can’t thrive if you are not thriving. Take care of yourself and enjoy the journey.
